MDSL Unveils Latest Telecom Expense Management SolutionMDSL (News - Alert), a provider of international Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and Market Data Expense Management (MDEM) solutions, announced the latest version of its TEM solution. The new MDSL Smart TEM will be announced at the annual AOTMP TEM Conference in February, the company said in a press release, following which there will be a road show touring New York, Houston and Chicago. Improving telecom service and asset visibility are the top international TEM objectives for enterprises. The MDSL Smart TEM is based on six core principles designed to support enterprises in meeting these goals. The six core principles are: Make it easier to find the right information the first time; Save time by automating repetitive tasks; Streamline the working day by matching the user interface to the individual's role; Let the system analyze spend and automatically alert the user to any exceptions; Improve decision-making with powerful, easy and reliable reporting; and Empower the user to make their own reporting and change requests. Philippe Lignac, MDSL TEM sales director, said, “We've spent a number of months working with our customers to understand what they see as the shortcomings of current solutions on the market, and MDSLSmart TEM is designed both to address those issues and to meet their needs now and into the future. We believe the new solution is nothing short of game-changing for the TEM industry.” New to the MDSL Smart TEM is an integrated Mobile Device Management (MDM) capability. The new feature allows users easily and securely control and manage all their wireless devices and applications from within a single application and TEM database. According to Ben Mendoza (News - Alert), MDSL CEO, Smart TEM transforms the way TEM is implemented within the enterprise: first, by making information much easier to access and action and, second, by making it tightly integrated and conformant with the customer's existing internal IT systems and practices. MDSL Smart TEM not only simplifies the process of implementing a TEM solution within the organization, but also puts TEM at the very center of the customer's shared service provision, Mendoza added. The MDSL TEM road show program agenda include an update on the key challenges and pitfalls facing the TEM industry today from leading independent information provider AOTMP; a demonstration of the new capabilities of MDSL Smart TEM; and a unique opportunity to hear examples of best practice and have questions answered first hand in an interactive Q&A panel of existing MDSL customers. Telecom expense management (TEM) and wireless expense management (WEM) solutions will see increased adoption rates in 2012 as enterprises continue to recognize the value of visibility and control over their telecom expenses, according to Joe Basili, managing director of the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA (News - Alert)).
